This year’s houses on The Block were, for the first time in the program’s history, completely new builds.
For the ninth year in a row on The Block, COLORBOND® steel has played an important role in helping the teams produce some very impressive properties. And they went all the way to Daylesford to do it!
For the first time, each of the houses on this year’s Block were completely new builds - that presented a great opportunity to embrace the increasingly popular concept of “biophilic design”.

To celebrate nine years of inspiring COLORBOND® steel transformations on The Block, we look back on some of the most memorable seasons.
COLORBOND® steel has been featured from the very first episode of The Block this year.
In keeping with the local landscape, renders have been created for each house, giving contestants a vision of the finished homes to aspire to.
This season on The Block, COLORBOND® steel is set to feature across the roofing of all five houses.
Expect a variety of COLORBOND® steel colours and a mix of large-span flat roofs and classic gable styles.
