This season, COLORBOND® steel is seen on The Block from Day 1.
The Block has a tree-change
The Block in 2022 takes things in an exciting new direction as, for the first time ever, it heads out of the bustling city and off to the beautiful Macedon Ranges in regional Victoria. A 70 acre property set amongst lush countryside in Gisborne South has been divided into six separate acreages, five for the contestant couples to build their impressive country mansions, and one for Scott Cam. That’s right, this year Scotty’s putting his skills to the test and actually building a home alongside the contestants.
Steel makes it happen
Across all of the properties, COLORBOND® steel will feature applications ranging across roofing, walling, gutters, downpipes, fascia, sheds and water tanks. The choice of colours and textures in the COLORBOND® steel will play an important role in complementing the surrounding landscape while helping link the historic, older houses with their adjoining extensions. Those extensions will all be built using frames made from TRUECORE® steel; a major factor in achieving the impressive scale and design of the internal spaces and external openings.
It's going to be an exciting 12 weeks watching these impressive country mansions rapidly come to life in such a beautiful location.
